20th century European School oil on canvas (large-scale), signature in the middle left (illegible). The canvas has a little texture on the flowers to the touch.
A composition with relief on the petals made by the visible brushstrokes. The flowers' relief is accentuated by a fine work of the darkened zones. Light is partially based on this strong contrast between the white flowers and the fleshy pinks against the bistre brown background but is also mediated and balanced by the material under the vase.
