Ville du Nord
19th-century French School oil on wood panel. The work is smooth to the touch.
A view of a city in northern France with subtle light fluctuations suggestive of the School of Barbizon. The light of dawn instilled by a yellow veil brings charm to the work. The line of the inner gilt dial harmonizes perfectly with the brightness of the sky.
