Les Quais
20th-century oil painting of a boat docked at the quay, painted on hard carton, from the home and atelier of French artist Cécile Hertz-Eyrolles (1875–1974). The reverse bears the artist’s atelier stamp.
This is the final painting we have available from the atelier of Cécile Hertz-Eyrolles (1875–1974), to whom we dedicated an entire collection earlier this year. The work is unfinished, offering a glimpse into her artistic process. It captures boats docked in a harbor, with early layers of color and movement suggesting the beginnings of a vibrant port scene.
