La Demeure
£598.00
A 19th-century oil on canvas signed lower right Boudet (19th–20th century) and dated 1902.
A quiet view of a large residence or public building set at the river’s edge. The foreground of vegetation and water is handled with loose, impressionistic strokes, while the architecture in the distance appears as a softened silhouette against diffused light.
Cool, milky blue tones unify the composition, softening contours and creating a gentle atmospheric haze.
