Antique oil landscape: French School Oil on canvas, signed Victor Pierre Ménard (1857-1938), and including his studio stamp. Visible on the back are antique Salon labels from his exhibitions.
There are thicknesses on the vegetation in the foreground which gives a depth to the landscape. The palette and the light are very realistic and based on a beautiful movement of lines. The work seems animated and creates a soft soothing view.
