Vue de Campagne
19th-century French School on wood panel signed Jean-Louis Verdier (1849-1895) in the lower left. The work is smooth to the touch.
A landscape with a shadow in the foreground, reminiscent of late afternoon light. The luminosity increases on the field and shows houses on the right horizon. The atmospheric perspective and color contrast is perfectly mastered and gives a realistic and immersive result.
