19th-century large-scale oils on canvas signed Olga.B (19th & 20th century). The two paintings are sold as a pair. 

Two large vertical floral studies (50" and 40.5", so slightly different) depicting climbing rose against a light sky-like background. The brushwork is fine and controlled, without excessive use of material. 

The composition on the left is denser in its foliage, while the one on the right is more airy. Both compositions. The palette is harmonious and slightly muted, typical of romantic works from the late 19th century.

These are reminiscent of a French country cottage. A pair of panels from the same artist and theme is a rarity from this period, and they would make a great addition to a special space.

A note on condition: The work on the left shows a visible loss of paint above the upper flowers, and the one on the right has several scratches at the top.
