The Port

A 20th Century French School oil painting on canvas signed (illegible) in the lower right corner. The work has a slight texture to the touch.

With broadstroke movements, the painter created a lively port filled with red-hulled ships against a faded skyline. This painting has been recanvassed and bears some large restoration marks, which blend into the movement of the scene and give it a more aged and rustic look.

Apart from the restorations, the painting is in good condition and stable due to being recanvassed. The frame is contemporary.
